273  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Joomla can't login once jsmf is applied. on: August 13, 2007, 04:51:14 AM
Did you the 2.0.2.1 version off the bridge? This one has the fix for the new hash system of the J! 10.0.13. When no first apply the new version of the bridge.
274  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0.2a patch (\n\n\t\n problem) on: August 13, 2007, 12:48:31 AM
the patch inculdes only smf.class.php that must be rewritten with the one in  componentes/com_smf...

i have issues with \n\n\t\n so i did the patch but now i cant login (from joomla and smf login forms too).

Did you read the topic?? This version of the bridge has not be modified for this issue for J! 1.0.13 only for the 1.0.12 and lower versions.. When you can not modified it your self you have to wait when some one has done this. Kevin is all ready working on it
275  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0.2a patch (\n\n\t\n problem) on: August 12, 2007, 04:45:24 PM
What do you mean? Did you rewrite the 2.0.2a bridge?

So far I know only the 2.0.2 bridge has been re written for the J! 2.0.13 version not the 2.0.2a version.

So has you all ready have read is the 2.0.2a version for a specific issue. The  \n\n\t\n issue. When you not having this problem it is better to use the 2.0.2.1 version of the Bridge and post you questions in that topic Wink

When you having issues with the \n\n\t\n then you have to wait for the update of the 2.0.2a.

For what I know is the 2.0.2.1 not updated for the \n\n\t\n issue Wink

Kevin announced the update.
277  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Error when trying to patch Joomla files on: August 12, 2007, 03:20:27 PM
same problem here

smf: 1.1.3
joomla: 1.0.13

com_smf_2_0_2

any ideas ?

Sorry you are posting in an old topic in the JSMF 1.0 bridge forum. Think is better to post it in the 2.0 forums of the JSMF bridge.

You are using J! 1.0.13 then you need the 2.0.2.1 version of the Bridge Wink not the 2.0.2. Search the forums and you will find why this is

When have questions please post it in the right forums Wink

Always give version information about:
Joomla!
SMF
JSMF
etc.
279  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: first time installation questions not addressed in documentation on: August 12, 2007, 03:16:31 PM
1)   One of the things you have tot think one is that when you use SMF in Wrapped mode that both Style Sheets are loaded. The J! and the SMF Style Sheets (so as you said as developer you will now what this can cause, duplicate ID’s)
2)   Install the forum in a directory in the root not a sub domain. Example Joomla.org is using no bridge. The installed the forum on a sub domain and maid the templates all look the same. This is the reason that most people think the use a Bridge.
3)   Please search the forums for this one. Then you will find a lot of answers.

283  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Error verifying user synchronization on: August 08, 2007, 08:15:23 AM
With the installation of J! or SMF you give the database name. Did you use diffrent databases?

When J! or SMF are installed in different databases you have to import the tables from one of the database to the other. There are instruction how to do this on the forum.

When merging the database make backups first Wink
284  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Error verifying user synchronization on: August 08, 2007, 06:33:12 AM
are Joomla! and SMF in the same database?

for install information please read the User Guide first Wink
285  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Error verifying user synchronization on: August 08, 2007, 05:35:21 AM
When having problems always mention the used versions of J! SMF CB and other plugins
