Im using joomla 1.0.8 and SMF 1.1 RC3
what bridge should i use so i dont get a blank screen ?

First at all update your Joomla! and SMF version ASAP. Why for security reasons  And use JSMF version 2.0.2.1 |

I upgraded my joomla and used the jsmf bridge 2.0.2.1 as recommended .. still have a blank screen.... anyone have an idea why this doesnt work  |

I just realized its when i patch the joomla index.php file the whole screen goes blank. Let me know if you have any more recommendations please.

Not only do I get a blank screen but now I have this error in my recent posts module:
Fatal error: Undefined class name 'jsmffrontend' in /home/virtual/site57/fst/var/www/html/modules/mod_smf_recenttopics.php on line 64
Two problems ... any ideas ?

sorry to spam but i was recommended from this site to upgrade my smf , joomla and bridge which i did and everything stopped working properly now and im desparately trying to get my site working properly.

Have you double checked all requirements: components -> joomla-SMF Forum -> install, i.e
Should be:
installed SMF Forum installed on the same database as Joomla.
done [un-patch] Patch Joomla Source Files.
done [un-patch] Patch SMF Source Files (Note: Unpatch before upgrading SMF or installing mod.)
done [verify] Optional: Synchronize Joomla and SMF users(username or real name).

I'm in the same boat
installed SMF Forum installed on the same database as Joomla.
done [un-patch] Patch Joomla Source Files.
done [un-patch] Patch SMF Source Files (Note: Unpatch before upgrading SMF or installing mod.)
done [verify] Optional: Synchronize Joomla and SMF users(username or real name).
A fresh session will load the home page but as soon as I click on a link I
get this:
Fatal error: Unknown(): The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition jsmffrontend of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded _before_ the session was started in /home/mysite/public_html/index.php on line 71
I've been all through the User Guide, there's nothing on this particular error. What am I doing wrong?
