Has anybody had any problems with a set-up composed of:

Joomla 1.0.12
JSMF 2.0.2
Community Builder
SMF 1.1.3

... since SMF was upgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3?

How about an installation of:

Joomla 1.0.12
JSMF 2.0.2
SMF 1.1.3

(in other words, no CB)?

I'm about to test myself, but was curious if anyone else had any experiences yet with these combinations.

JSMF 2.0.2

SMF 1.1.3

My testing results:

This setup worked fine after I upgraded SMF 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 on my production site.  The production site is housed at my ISP and is based on a Linux OS (I'm with LunarPages.com).

The same setup failed miserably on my test PC, which is based on Windows XP.  After making the SMF upgrade and attempting to log in I get the message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare db_query() (previously declared in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\northcalviews\ncvForums\Sources\Subs.php:238) in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\NorthCalViews\ncvForums\Sources\Subs.php on line 330

But I suspect it is due to a user (me) installation error, not any of the four components used.

The setup on my PC is a downloaded copy of what is working on the production site.  I suspect I did not install everything completely correctly.  I can get into both Joomla from the backend and SMF from both the front and backend.  It just crashes badly when trying to log in from the Joomla front end.

I also notice that, when trying to patch the SMF files from within the JSMF installation screen I get a message it can't find ncvForums/index.php (ncvForums is the subdirectory within Joomla which houses the SMF install).  Yet the file is clearly there.

I don't get that message on the production version.  There the files patch just fine.

First you need to go to the JSMF Bridge install in the Joomla Administration and unpatch SMF. Then you open SMF directly and sign in. Go to the Packages in the administration section and download the 1.1.3 update and then apply it. Then repatch the SMF files from the JSMF Bridge install in the Joomla Administration.
