I am a newbie and as far as possible I am following the installation manual religiously, however I seems to have some problem during the installation of bridge.
I can get to patch Joomla source file but not SMF source files. I get an error:

Please help me!

Hello, first of all thx for this great forum where i can inform myself.
I have a question. in the manual Joomla-SMF User Guide 2.0RC2 it says that the bridge works only if i have a joomla and SMF installed. i should take the last version from SMF website (in my case 1.0.9)
i installed everything. works fine. i was abale to Patch the Joomla Source Files. now i dont really understand whats the other patch for. i cant patch. its says: Failed: Code to be patched not found in file: if (!defined(\'WIRELESS\'))/home/www/web114/html/forum/index.php
is this a problem of rights ?
i use joomla 1.0.11 JSMF_2_0_RC2_unzip1st.zip smf_1-0-9_install.zip

you didn't read the user guide very well nor did you even take a moment to read this post. If you had done either you would have solved your problem already.
What's the difference between 1.0.9 and RC3? I began using 1.0.9 months ago and now it seems I should have used RC3 instead. Can I switch over to RC3 from 1.0.9? All the bridge software seems to work for RC3 the best.
