Can't get the path figured out
« on: November 20, 2006, 03:08:43 PM »

Hi,
typically I'm quite comfortable installing this sort of thing, but I can't for the life of me get past the configuration. It continually tells me my absolute path is wrong and prefix.

Specs:
Your latest Joomla SMF bridge as of today
Latest Joomla 1.0.11
SMF 1.1 RC3

Installation directories:
/home/httpd/vhosts/mydomainname.com/httpdocs <-- joomla is installed at the root
/home/httpd/vhosts/mydomainname.com/httpdocs/smf <-- simple machines forum is up and running great

Like I said, can't get past the initial screen. I'm wondering if there is a permission thing somewhere? Is it trying to write to a file/index/config somewhere that isn't writeable?

I'm dying....please help  Embarrassed

thanks, Todd

Check the JSMF user guide for more information about where to find the correct absolute path.  It's listed in SMF admin.

Hi,
I've given it a read, I've tested my server environment using php info to double check on the path. I've went to phpmyadmin and can see the addtional tables in the database, using the smf_. I've verified the board is working fine, I've checked on the admin of the board, copied and pasted the path etc. from there to be sure....

All to no avail. Do you know for sure if your latest release, along with the latest release of the board are compatible?

100% positive.  And you SMF board dir is set to what?  If SMF is working standalone then you only need to copy that setting from SMF admin.

Hi
I'd be willing to donate a few bucks if you can make this work.
My board is set to:
/home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/smf

I copy that into the path, click save and says its wrong.

Would you like to try for a donation? I can email you all the settings etc.
