A Forum Profile Edit Error

Hello, I get the following error when trying to edit my smf profile without CB profile redirect.
When I turn on the CB profile redirect and use the plugin to edit, nothing happens at all.
I am using Joomla 1.0.11 with CB and SMF 1.1 RC3 with the new RC2 Bridge.

Has to do with the bridge, because the profile edit works fine in standalone.
Sorry if this has been brought up before.

this appears to be a problem where there is no avatar in SMF but I am somehow incorrectly detecting an uploaded avatar. I am working to resolve this.

for now, on or around line 1273 of component/com_smf/smf.class.php change the following code:

if (!($filename = $database->loadResult())) {
mosErrorAlert($database->getErrorMsg().' ~~~ FROM::'.__FILE__.' || '.__FUNCTION__.' || '.__LINE__);
return false;
}

to this:

//return false;
//this probably means there is no avatar, so continue
continue;
}

let me know the result. Also, please verify that this SMF user had *no* avatar uploaded.

Thanks Wolverine,
I can now edit the profile directly in SMF without error. All of my users are set to sync off the CB avatar, so shouldn't be a problem.

I do have a problem with the profile plugin though, when I go through it to modify the profile, none of the information is updated.

be a bit more descriptive, remember we are working with several pieces of software here. Modify CB profile or SMF? The information isn't updated to where, SMF or CB or Joomla?

Yeah after clicking the Modify CB profile on the profile plugin, it brings you to the SMF profile fine to edit. I type in some stuff in the signature field for example, click "change profile", then I am redirected back to the CB profile page. I check to see if the field has been updated on the Forum Profile tab, and it doesn't show the update, nor does the SMF profile if you click "Modify Profile" again.

If I disable the profile redirection and edit the SMF profile through SMF, it updates fine. So it looks like the information in the SMF profile isn't updating when edited through the profile plugin.

I am using the latest 2.1 plugins.

my guess is that for some strange reason the submit or post url is being reformatted in correctly. Can you post the url of the SMF profile? You can leave out the domain
