Sorry for post but i cannot find answer in forum.
I installed

SMF 1.1.1 (wrapped)
Joomla-SMF Forum 2.0 RC3
mod_smf_login 2.0.4
SMF CB Plugin
SMF Profile

all works very very good but i have little problem:
if i select "remember me" when i login, all works good but after some minutes everything works good, when i try to use forum, is like i'm guest (but i still be logged in joomla) ...

if i close browse joomla too ask me for user and password...
100% is my mistake, can you help me?

did you read the installation guide and change all the 'cookie' settings etc in the SMF site?

Somehow I've got the same problem like Belarus:

When logging in and marking 'remember me' (using standard Joomla-Login) the user is logged in into SMF as well. But leaving the page and returning a couple of hours later, the user is still logged in into Joomla, but no longer into SMF...

Cookie-Setting are (as in installation guide):
No local storage
Subdomain independent cookies
DB driven sessions
Validity of login-cookies: abnormal large number... ;-)

Could it have something to do with the Joomla Site Session Lifetime of 15min?

I doubt that is the problem, this remember me code has worked since version 1.1 of the bridge.  But... if the joomla login remember me value has been changed it is possible that would cause this type of behavior.  I'll take a look.

Howdy,

I would like to chime in and say that I am having the same issue as well. I would also like to point out that the remember me kind of works. Allow me to elaborate.

  • Go to my site
  • Enter my username and password and then check remember me.
  • Login
  • Close my browser
  • Go to my site
  • It has not remembered me, but it thinks I am logged in because it shows me the Joomla! edit buttons on content items.

This is very strange. Has anyone come up with a fix for this?

Sorry to revive old threads but i'm having this same issue and can't find any similar posts where a working fix has been mentioned.

Has anyone found a fix for this yet. I've tried a little manual editing of the index.php but to no avail.

Joomla version is: 1.0.12
SMF version is: 1.1.2
Joomla-SMF version: 2.0.2
