help with Templates & Themes

i installed everything  , it looks great but everytime i add  a news picture and  text it makes my top banner mess up  like it spilts in half to fix the picture is there a way i can fix this  ? like is there a way i can make the page not spilt in half everytime i add  apicture to the news section
