Mambo 4.5.2 compatibility

Dear Folks, I hope someone can help, especially any of the developers here.

I'm a non-techie and recently asked my hosting provider, who perform "professional services" as an extra to do the mambo-smf integration.

However I am experiencing a lot of trouble, particularly with the login.

I am also using Hotproperty - which uses its own user class "agent" and this seems to cause some problems too.

However before I go into the details of the errors, I was wondering whether they have not installed an incompatible version of smf bridge. I don't know much about this component but have looked around in these foruims and the download pages and just need confirmation from you guys:

They have used the component JSMF_2_0_RC3_1. together with the latest version of SMF 1.1

it seemed to me that i would need older versions? Please someone tell me which are the best versions to use!

Ok, well one issue I was facing that may be of interest to you is that I got errors when the i try to enter a non existant user into the mambo login module:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: moserroralert() in /home/studying/public_html/components/com_smf/smf.class.php on line 763

my hosts fixed this with some hack specifying that it was calling a joomla function which doesn;t exist in mambo.

The other issue I am facing is related to Hotproperty - with its "agent" user class, any newly created agents cannot see the "Agent menu" whose access is set to "special". For some reason, agents that existed prior are still abel to see and use the menu in question.

any thoughts on how this may be overcome? thanks
