Hello,
I've been working hard on my website the last couple of days but haven't yet told others about it so they could register. Today I downloaded a module called SMF_Whos_Online_1.4 and installed it into my website, taking away the regular register/login module. Oh, I also downloaded the SMF_Login_1.4 I think it is... Both available from Joomlahacks.com.
Anyways, I get this error everytime I try to register, but unfortunately I cannot copy and paste it, so I've uploaded it to my website and will insert it into this post...
Is this because of the module I downloaded or is there something wrong that I've missed while installing Joomla? It's a recent installment that I've been playing around with over the last past week and a half.
P.S. I also forgot to include that even though it says it's a "Duplicate Entry", logging in using that name and password says "I am UNAUTHORIZED to view this area." Which leaves me to believe maybe I have a configuration setting incorrect, so I went to my Admin (which I can sign into) but the configuration seems to be all correct.
I went into mySQL and deleted the username Bryce from the database, hoping that maybe there was an error in registering the first member. I went back and created a new membership, it allowed for the registration to be completed and said it had sent me a Registration Confirmation email.
When received, I clicked the Activation Link and it opened up a page that said "There is no such account in our database or the account has already been activated." Then decided to try and login with the username and password, in which case it then said "You're unauthorized to view this area." and refreshed the main page of the Joomla site.
Figured I'd add that into my process, perhaps it will help someone more in helping me! Thank you!
what you are seeing is core Joomla functionality failing. I only call it and report any errors from it. There was a user that reported a similar problem previously and he was able to resolve it. This isn't in relation to the module. Are you using SMF registration or Joomla?
