Issue in Recent Topic 1.7.1
« on: July 16, 2006, 07:16:01 PM »

I mentioned this before and never received a response - just want a confirmation  Wink

I noticed when clicking the 'new icon' in the recent topics mod it forwarded you to the last topic and not the most recent topic not read -- is this an issue or only on my site?

I haven't seen that behavior however the query is taken exactly from SMF.  It is due for an update and I will again check it to see if there is something I overlooked.

Just another heads up Wolverine that this module behaves eratically in Firefox as well.  It doesn't finish scrolling, scrolls fast.  Hard to utilize in Firefox.

Thanks for all the hard work bro.

Yeah exactly Wolverine.  If you go to my site in firefox you should see what I"m talking about.  www.titoortiz.com It's the same in FF for PC and OSX.  OSX ver seems to scroll even faster.  Again not complaining as I appreciate your hard work on this stuff.

well marquee was originally a IE thing and isn't really supported fully across all browsers.  I assume that is the reason for the odd behavior.  The speed input settings must be read differently per browser.  Not sure if there is anything I can do about that short of rewrite the whole thing in AJAX... which if I get frisky one day I might just do that!  Grin

Yeah...AJAX marquee would rock.  What do I have to do to encourage your friskiness to rear its head?  Smiley

Well, if you could finish the planned JSMF 1.2 and complete my latest clients website, and maybe do some of my "real" job's development I think I would be frisky then!  haha

Too busy right now, but I will keep it in mind.
