Problem with mod_smf_recent_topics 1.7.1

In first time, excuse my english, iīm spanish. Well, i have a problem with this module (downloaded of this web): mod_smf_recent_topics 1.7.1

If i have a click in the lasts posts that shows the module ( mod_smf_recent_topics 1.7.1) i canīt access to the forum of the web, only see Error HTTP 404.

The integration about joomla 1.0.8 and smf 1.1.RC2 works fine ( with the bridge downloaded of this web).

Can anybody hel me?  Smiley

if you have SEF enabled there are changes you will need to make manually to .htaccess

No, i donīt have SEF, only the friendly urls of joomla 1.0.8. ŋPlease can you help me? Thanks a lot Wolverine

but, the really url is:

http://www.xxx.com/foro/index.php?topic=4.0

You aren't using a bridge?  If not then that is why it isn't working.

Yes, iīm going use the bridge downloaded of this page:

I have verified that if I deactivate friendly urls from Configuration of joomla, it works.  What I can do so that it works with urls friendly?

I'm having a similar problem.

I'm using Joomla 1.8 and SMF 1.1 RC2, with Joomla-SMF 1.1.4.2

Joomla standard friendly urls are on, with no other SEF components currently installed.

SMF friendly URLs are switched off; as a topic in these forums said that having both enabled was uncessary and could cause problems.

My problem is that since enabling Joomla's SEF functionality, my 'recent topics' module (1.7.1) is only giving me Error HTTP 404, as are the recent post links on the SMF homepage.

I've taken a look, and from the looks of things, both of these links are taking me, for example, to

http://globalteen.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,106/topic,1063.msg14814#new

when the functional url is

http://globalteen.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,106/topic,1063.msg14814.html#new

Has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be?

that is not the functional url, there is not .html used for messages in smf like that.  Did you make the necessary component changes to your .htaccess file?

Hi, thanks for the reply....er, I'm using the standard Joomla .htaccess file, I wasn't aware that any modifications needed to be made to it?

if you read the standard joomla .htaccess file it will tell you that if you have a component you must uncomment an additional line.
