Login and cookies query/issue
« on: May 17, 2006, 04:25:21 AM »

Folks,

is anyone seeing and resolved the following issue;

It would appear that the session/cookies are different or incorect somehow on our installtion.

A user logs in through Joomla, using the CB login module with the SMF Bridge installed.

Joomla logs in ok, the user now see's and clicks the forum link, but the user is not logged in to SMF auto-magically, he is listed as "Guest" only.

If I register as a new user, Joomla logs in ok, but not SMF again, but I know the registration is good as SMF tells me there is a ne wuser registered.. ME!

Any idea's would be greatly appreciated, I beleive I have setup everything correctly, but obviously am missing something, somewhere.

I have seen several similar (old) posts to this, but none with a resolution <shrug>

Thanks in advance

Robyn

I have the same problems. My data are:
Joomla 1.0.10
CB 1.0 with CB login plugin
SMF 1.1 RC2
Joomla-SMF 1.1.3
Running Apache Apache/1.3.36 (Unix), PHP 4.4.2

The integration Joomla-CB works fine, but the login to SMF doesn't work. I have the Joomla-SMF bridge configures to use the CB login and CB registration.

Any ideas  Huh

Oops,st$p$d mistake!  Lips Sealed
The CB plugin (v.1.0.1) hadnīt been published...

Now I have another problem, though. When I log in through the site, it always redirects me to the board, despite the option is set to 'No'.

Thanks!

Just installed it and the redirection in the log-in works fine. Thanks!!  Smiley

I noticed some bugs, though. When I log out from SMF it returns to Joomla, though this option is set to "no". Not a major problem for me. And I couldn't log out from a session in SMF active previous to the install pressing the logout button through the com_smf. I had to go to the "real" board, log out, and then everything worked fine (except that first point).

Again, thanks for your hard work  Grin

The redirect on logout will look for a valid URL, if it is something we can use we will, otherwise it is directed to the joomla main.  If you want a specific logout URL you can download version 1.4.2 of the JSMF login which allows you to set specific URL's for login and logout.  Glad it is working for you.
