Installation Problems

I've been trying to install Joomla-SMF version 1.1 finalized for the last hour, I just cant seem to get it to work. Iupload the componet file and recieve this every time:

Im using Joomla 1.0.4 and I havcent actually installed SMF yet, im just trying to get the componet int he system first.

Can anyone help?

first of all, you should be using JSMF 1.1.02 which can be found in the thread of the same name in this board. Secondly, you must extract the zip to find the installable component file, com_joomla_smf_forum_1_1_02.zip
