This SMF Discussbot for JSMF(Joomla-SMF) is maintained at JoomlaHacks.com.
Usage:
- {mos_smf_discuss}
- To link an article to the default discussion board insert {mos_smf_discuss} in the article. To use this method the default discussion board must be set in the SMF Discussbot configuration screen!
- {mos_smf_discuss:General Discussion}
- To link an article to a specific discussion board insert {mos_smf_discuss:board name} in the article where board name is the name of a SMF board.
- Enable discuss all
- To discuss all articles enable the discuss all feature. A default discussion board must be specified to enable discuss all successfully.
- Enable automatically create
- To have a forum topic automatically created for each news item published.

A good start but some bugs need to be worked out and some more options would be nice.
For one thing the "Article characters quoted" option doesn't work. It quotes the whole article no matter what value you put here. An option, in addition to the character number option, to include only the intro text would be great.
Also an option to specify which sections and/or categories should have forum topics automatically created for them would be very useful as well instead of having the option to autocreate for all posts or none... with the latter option making it necessary to manually add {mos_smf_discuss} tags.
I have some other concerns but I won't get into that right now. I hope work is still going on with this project and I look forward to new releases.
