This component allows for easy installation of fully functioning, easy to use Google Maps onto any Joomla site. Only an API key from Google Maps is required to get your map up and running today.
Release of Google Maps 1.4.1 Available Now - Google Maps
A new version of the Google Map component is now available. The new features include the following:
1. A basic help system, which is a link to the included README file.
2. Initial support for PdMarkers. PdMarkers is an extension of the Google Maps API. To learn more about PdMarkers please visit www.pixeldevelopment.com/pdmarker.asp.
3. The option to universally disable automatic geocoding was added. This is especially useful for international users that were getting bad geocoding data for addresses they entered.
4. Updated the configuration to make it a bit easier to use.

I love this addon, installing it was very easy, use Google Earth to pinpoint the longitude en latitude for your marker(s). |

I see the map, just followed the readme file, but for the netherlands, adding 'a new place' won't work via that form. (index.php?option=com_google_maps&task=new
) Can't we just add the lon and lat, or even better: pin it on the map and then remember it? (Gallery2 has that working perfectly with google maps). Man I need something like this desperately... |
